Every child who enters my classroom is loved, safe, and valued. As a teacher I play a vital role in the school, classroom, and community partnerships to help all students learn and grow. In my classroom we develop strong relationships with each other to work as a team towards common goals. I help equip my students with the skills to think critically, apply their knowledge in a meaningful way, and meet their next goal.

I teach early childhood because I want to be a part of a child’s initial school experience and help foster a lifelong love for learning.  Being a facilitator of learning in a diverse world is something I look forward to everyday!  I know that every student that attends Lewis and Clark has the potential for great success.  Seeing this potential is so exciting and each year is so different and I can’t wait to see new successes from every child and family.

Ever since I can remember I have loved learning. As I grew older I developed a passion for helping others. I decided to combine those two passions and pursue a career in teaching. It is my hope that every student that enters my classroom feels cherished and welcomed and leaves my classroom with the same love of learning I hold in my heart. My goal is to help each and every one of my students reach their greatest potential and for them to grow into life-long learners.

I love reading, crafting, running, and pretty much anything outdoors. Being active is very important to me. In the summer I spend a lot of time boating with family and friends. In the fall I go deer and elk hunting with my Papa Schroeder and Dad. I’m an avid sports fan. I grew up playing a variety of sports. Volleyball and basketball are my favorite to play, but nothing beats a great Seattle Seahawks football game live or on tv!
