I grew up in Colorado and moved out to the greater Seattle area when I was a freshman in high school.

I got my B.A. in Sociology from Washington State University. I then obtained my Masters in Education from Western Governors University.

“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.”

The onus of understanding always rests upon the speaker.

If you can be anything, be kind.

I really enjoy working with kids and getting to know them. I especially enjoy working with students who have significant needs and challenges. It is rewarding to see them learn and grow as scholars, and as individuals. My goal in working with children is to help them to believe that they can improve their skills, and that having the determination to work through challenges, and hardships will lead to success.
